• For your new windows/doors to qualify they will need to be Energy Star with a U-Factor below 1.22 W/m²K or Energy Rating of 34 and higher under the Federal program. You will also be required to maintain all window stickers still fixed to the window. So that is something you will need to refer to your contractor.

Do you know there is a cost to the Energy Assessment that is returned to you by Greener Homes grant program?

• The first audit is $486 including the taxes and the follow up is $249 also including the taxes, and the way the rebate program works as long as you have done your minimum amount of upgrades and prove it is your primary residence, you would get a grant for the audit fee of $600 returned back to you.
